Fixed Beam
A closer look at the proton delivery system in the fixed beam room. The brass aperture at the end of the snout is customized for each patient. The hole in the middle of the brass aperture is shaped to match the outline of the patient's tumor so healthy tissue surrounding the tumor is blocked from the radiation.
